How to hear the television receiver audio through the speakers of a stereo receiver or home theater organisation.

The three most common methods to allow the telly sound be heard through the speakers of a stereo receiver or home theater organization are:

  • Option 1: HDMI connection using the Audio Render Aqueduct (ARC) feature (Preferred method)
  • Selection 2: Connexion using Optical Digital Cablevision or Coaxial Digital Cablevision (Digital audio)
  • Selection three: Connection using Sound Cable (Analog audio)

Follow the instructions below for either of these iii methods:

Choice 1: HDMI connexion using the ARC feature:

Notes:

  • Both devices being connected must back up the ARC characteristic. HDMI ports may exist marked with ARC to evidence which one to use.  If not, bank check your product manual or specifications to see if the ARC feature is supported. Manuals are posted on your model support page.
  • If you find that your TV, A/V receiver or habitation theater (HT) system does not supportARC, y'all will need to utiliseOption 2: Coaxial Digital Cable, Optical Digital Cable, or Option three: Audio Cable to connect your devices.
  1. Connect an HDMI cablevision to the HDMI ports labeled ARC, or the port identified in your manual that supports ARC.
  2. Set Speakers to Sound organization.

    • Depending on the Television model, some jacks may not be available.

  1. Connect a Coaxial Digital Cable, Optical Digital Cable, or Sound cable to the sound output jack of the tv set.
  2. Connect the other end of the cable to the respective jacks on the stereo receiver or home theater system.

    Note: Depending on the stereo receiver or habitation theater system being used, the audio input may be labeled TV INPUT or VIDEO INPUT.

  3. Turn on the television.
  4. When using the Optical Digital Cablevision connexion, gear up Speakers to Audio system.
    The steps below are an example on Android TV or Google Idiot box.

      • Select Brandish & Sound — Audio output — Speakers — Audio system.
      • Select Sound — Speakers — Sound organisation
  5. Set the goggle box sound to the desired setting of either Fixed or Variable.

    Notes:

    • Some TV models practise not accept this setting.
    • For Android TV with this setting option, select Audio out (Fixed) and adjust the volume on an external output device such as an audio system.
      If you select Sound out (Fixed), sound volition exist output from both the TV and external output device. If yous want to output TV sound simply from the external output device (mute sound from the TV), decrease the Telly volume to the lowest level or mute it.
  6. Turn on the stereo receiver or home theater organization.
  7. Set the stereo receiver or home theater arrangement to the proper input.

Note: When the TV's Headphone/Audio out is ready to Audio out (Variable)

The book on an external output device such as an sound system is linked to the TV volume, and audio is output from both the Television set and external output device. If you want to turn off just the audio output from the TV, change the Speakers setting on the TV to Audio organisation.
Note that if you decrease or mute the TV book while the Speakers setting on the Tv is set to TV speakers, the audio from the external output device will decrease or be muted.
